Three Thoughtful Ways to Conserve Water

Nearly one in three people live in a country facing a water crisis. Lana Mazahreh, who grew up in the water-scarce nation of Jordan, shares three lessons on how to save water and address what's fast becoming a global crisis.

Lana joined The Boston Consulting Group in 2014 and is a core member of the firm’s Social Impact practice. She is also involved with the Women@BCG global initiative. Based in Johannesburg, Lana also spent a year working in BCG’s office in Dubai.

Lana’s work has been focused on economic development, social impact, and the public sector, yet she has also been involved in various other industries including industrial goods, consumer goods, and retail.

In her recent projects at BCG, Lana supported a private sector investments accelerator. She was involved in a data analytics project to support various nationwide employment initiatives, and supported the public sector in identifying gaps in the social care services. She has worked on a career education and development strategy piece with detailed implementation plans for the private and public sector and was recently involved in developing water future scenarios and coauthoring a report on the water crisis in South Africa in collaboration with WWF.

Prior to BCG, Lana worked in the Enterprise Risk Services team with Deloitte, based in Jordan and the UAE, serving the Middle East. She specialized in technology services advisory working varying topics including business continuity and disaster recovery planning, application control reviews, IT audit, and journal entry testing.
