Luís Gravito is the head of The Boston Consulting Group’s Lagos office and a core member of BCG’s Financial Institutions practice. He was previously the leader of BCG’s Iberian Financial Institutions and Strategy practices, and he founded, developed, and managed the Lisbon office until 2011.

Since joining BCG in 1992, Luís has worked extensively with clients on formulating and implementing strategies, as well as managing complex changes in a variety of industries and geographies. He also has deep experience in corporate reorganization, process redesign, and cost reduction initiatives.

Luís is particularly skilled at leading large-scale transformations in the public sector, and he has worked closely with governments, ministries, and regulators in areas such as sector restructuring, tariff design, and complex multiparty sector negotiations. His client engagements have also covered industries such as financial services, energy and utilities, consumer goods, telecommunications, and health care.

Luis speaks English, French, and Spanish fluently, in addition to his native Portuguese.
