Managing Director & Senior Partner
Marcus Bokkerink is the regional leader for consumer products within the Consumer practice at Boston Consulting Group. He currently leads BCG’s consumer products business across Europe and South America. Marcus also serves on the firm’s global consumer products executive committee and runs the UK Seat at the table and board activities. Marcus previously served on BCG’s Global Strategy practice executive committee and led the firm’s Consumer practice and strategy work in the UK, as well as a series of UK management roles. He also established and helped develop BCG’s presence in China.
Marcus has over 25 years’ experience with BCG enabling companies to create competitive advantage, drive value creation, and build the capability to sustain that advantage and performance in uncertain environments. He has advised executive teams and boards across a range of sectors, including food and beverages, personal care, household goods, grocery retail, general merchandise retail, and lodging. He leads a number of BCG’s global client teams. Marcus believes passionately that value creation requires true competitive advantage, and that a business builds its capability to sustain and renew competitive advantage by empowering its people in a process of joint discovery. He also co-authored BCG's Consumer Value Creators series.
Outside of BCG, Marcus serves on the Consumer Goods Forum’s annual Global Summit organizing task force; and before BCG, he was the China representative of the London Export Corporation.
