Mario is Vice President of Strategic Design at BCG DV and was part of the founding team that built the DV Center in Berlin in 2014. He was also part of the founding team of the Center for Digital in Automotive and is now part of the CDA team responsible for venturing.

Within BCG Digital Venture’s offering of building new corporate ventures, Mario’s focus is on driving human-centered innovation projects, from initial research to tangible prototypes and MVPs. He has worked on many digital mobility innovation projects over the last years, leading design research and ideation teams.

Among other projects in the automotive industry, Mario built a portfolio of ventures and products for a global OEM, supporting our client from first concepts to the actual investment cases. For a railway company, he established a customer-centric approach for developing new customer experiences and defined the solution space for an on-train entertainment system. For a large tier 1 supplier, he defined customer experience and brand of a new B2C mobility solution.

Before joining BCG Digital Ventures, Mario lead ideation and strategy teams at an innovation lab in Berlin, working on new mobility solutions with cross-cultural teams of scientists, digital hackers, and engineers.

Other previous work experience includes building an award-winning digital design agency in Berlin, and developing and implementing a new business model for a digital subculture experience space in Seoul, Korea.
