Mark Hawken joined Boston Consulting Group in May 2019. He is a core member of BCG TURN, a special unit of BCG that helps CEOs and business leaders deliver rapid, visible, and sustainable step-change improvement in business performance. Mark is a Chartered Accountant with 25 years of experience in operational and financial turnaround, financial management and business strategy, and corporate finance and M&A. Mark’s expertise covers a range of industry sectors and he has extensive experience assisting both public and private companies with restructuring.

Prior to joining BCG, Mark was Director, CFO, and co-founder of a start up non-standard car finance company; and before that, he spent nine years at AlixPartners, where he was a Managing Director in the Turnaround & Restructuring practice, leading complex turnarounds of stressed and distressed companies both as advisor and interim executive. Mark has also worked in a number of financial institutions, where he structured leveraged finance solutions for both PE-backed and corporate clients. Mark started his career at Arthur Andersen, where he specialized in corporate recovery and turnaround.
