Matthew Parsons is a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Energy and Operations practices. He is the Americas Leader for BCG’s work in large capital project management, and has supported multiple cross-functional transformations and improvement programs, particularly in large capital project management. 

Matt currently sits on the Industry Council of the Project Production Institute, a forum focusing on the improvement of major capital project delivery through variability reduction, along with representatives from the oil and gas, high tech, pharmaceutical, engineering and construction, and real estate industries. He is helping pioneer a new era of project delivery through project production system modeling and optimization, project performance monitoring, and project production control. 

Before he joined the firm, Matt spent 12 years at McKinsey & Company where he held practice leadership responsibilities in the major capital projects practice and was ultimately elected a Senior Partner. He also served as a submarine officer in the US Navy early in his career, where he held various responsibilities related to the construction, operations, and maintenance of naval nuclear power plants.
