Matthias Rucker joined Boston Consulting Group in 2017. As a core member of BCG’s Consumer and TURN practices, he helps clients manage the many changes and challenges in today’s retail landscape. He is the author of several retail publications, and has spoken at leading industry conferences and business schools.

Matthias has had a long career in retail and brings broad expertise from working with leading retailers in multiple countries as general manager and as a strategic advisor.

His passion is in retail transformation, and he has worked with many clients on large-scale category management and buying programs, end-to-end fulfillment solutions, new store formats and digital/omnichannel offerings. He is also an expert in retail restructuring and turnaround management.

Before joining the firm, Matthias held various management roles across Europe at Metro Group and A.T. Kearney.
