Max Bakhtin joined Boston Consulting Group in 2008 and worked with clients in the retail, telecommunications, and mobility industries on marketing and sales topics in Russia, Germany, Denmark, and Singapore. In 2017, Max left BCG to lead Utkonos— the largest e-grocery player in Russia—as CEO. While there, he launched a full-scale transformation of the company and supported the acquisition of the largest hypermarket chain in Russia to create an omni-channel experience for Russian consumers. He rejoined BCG in 2019 and began focusing on digital topics in retail.

In his work with retail clients, Max is currently working on setting up category management, pricing, and promotion strategies, as well as IT and commercial and marketing strategies. He also has expertise in a wide range of topics in e-commerce and digital B2C, focusing on product development, sales and marketing, and operations.
