Mike Slattery joined Boston Consulting Group’s Washington office as a summer consultant in 2013 and returned as a consultant in July 2014. He is a core member of the firm’s Public Sector and Operations practices and works primarily with clients at public sector institutions and within the defense community on strategic, operating model, and other organizational challenges. His recent cases include transforming a US shipbuilding organization responsible for billions of dollars in resources, conducting the logistics improvement sprints for a US military organization, and integrating critical systems and reporting tools across various units for a major defense organization to enable optimized operational performance.

Prior to joining BCG, Mike was elected to, and served in, the Kansas House of Representatives for four years. During his time in the legislature, he was the ranking member of the Commerce, Labor, and Economic Development Committee; and a member of the Energy and Utilities, Health and Human Services, and Joint Economic Development Committees.
