Senior Partner & Managing Director
Niclas Storz is a core member of the Technology Advantage, Financial Institutions, and Operations practices at The Boston Consulting Group. He leads the operations topic in BCG's Financial Institutions practice in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Previously, Niclas led the firm’s global payments and transaction banking sector for several years and served as global head for wholesale transaction banking. He is still highly engaged in several worldwide transaction-banking client relationships.
Niclas’s recent work includes several multiyear transformations of business and operating models for top financial institutions in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, and elsewhere. He has supported several national and international postmerger integration projects. He has also consolidated operating models within countries as well as across countries and regions. His former leadership role in transaction banking continues to keep him busy on strategic and operational projects for prominent international global-transaction banks.
Niclas has given many speeches and has taken part in panel discussions for global conferences, including the UCI Cash Management Conference, Munich (2014); Sibos Conference, Osaka (2012); and ICBI Conference on Business and Operational Excellence in Payments, London (2009 and 2010).
In 2015, Niclas hosted BCG's first European CIO and COO roundtable, "Thriving in the Digital Age," which was attended by 15 senior client executives from financial institutions.
