Nico Dehnert is a member of Boston Consulting Group’s Principal Investors & Private Equity (PIPE), Corporate Finance & Strategy, and Energy practices. He is an expert in corporate venturing, innovation, and investments across various industries. 

Nico is a member of BCG's Corporate Venturing expert team and a co-author of the firm’s Corporate Venturing reports. The team creates an interface between corporates and startups, and makes collaborations work. As such, he works on setting up innovation vehicles as corporate venture capital, digital/innovation labs, incubators, ecosystems, and investment funds (just to name few). 

Nico has consulted with leading energy, industrial goods, tech, and retail companies on growth and innovation strategy, and the role that external innovation via startups can play in these. He has led numerous corporate venturing projects across many industries, helping clients grow and innovate existing businesses, enter adjacent spaces, and explore new fields. He also works with public clients on development and build-up of innovation ecosystems and investment funds. 

Prior to coming to BCG, Nico worked for Siemens Wind Power in Denmark, focusing on supply chain strategy, and was a research assistant at the E.On Energy Research Center of the RWTH Aachen University.
