Olivier Abtan leads The Boston Consulting Group’s global luxury sector. He is also a core member of BCG’s Consumer and Private Equity practices.

Since joining BCG in 1999, Olivier has worked extensively with global luxury companies on issues related to international strategy, retail excellence, product development, supply chain management, and organization. Olivier has also worked in the retail and in the apparel sector for many years, leading projects on various topics from sourcing to retail effectiveness.

Some of Olivier’s recent engagements include creating the supply chain plan for a global "masstige" fashion brand, developing the apparel strategy for a mass-market retailer in Europe, and launching a sales-enhancement program for a web-based retailer. He has also led many due diligence efforts in fashion, shoes, consumer electronics, entertainment, and home decoration and furniture.

Before joining BCG, Olivier worked as a financial analyst for AXA Equitable in New York.
