Takashi Mitachi is a senior advisor at The Boston Consulting Group and a former senior member of the Strategy practice. He lead the firm’s Japan system as Co-Chair of BCG Japan for eleven years since 2005.
Takashi is the author of many books on management strategy, including Business Game Theory—focusing on strategy and game strategy, co-authored with Noriyuki Yanagawa of Tokyo University. He is a visiting professor at Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Management. He serves as a board member of the Japan Association for the UN World Food Program.
Before joining BCG in 1993, Takashi was as a manager of corporate planning at Japan Airlines. He holds an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
