Takuro Ueji is a core member of the Operations practice at Boston Consulting Group, and of BCG TURN. He is also a member of the Industrial Goods practice at the firm.

Takuro is an expert in the transformation, turnaround, and restructuring of stressed and distressed companies. He has over 25 years of experience achieving dramatic improvements in cash flow, profitability, and enterprise value for clients. He works with senior executives, operational leaders, and shareholders to drive step change improvements in operating and financial performance.

Takuro has worked with middle market companies and large global corporations, mainly in the automotive, industrial goods, medtech, logistics, and retail sectors. He has also led company-wide transformation, operational improvement, supply chain optimization, headcount reduction, direct/indirect cost rationalization, and liquidity management engagements.

Prior to re-joining BCG in 2019, Takuro was managing director at AlixPartners, where he spent ten years providing holistic turnaround programs for stressed and distressed companies. Prior to that he was with Vestar Capital Partners and Sanwa Bank. He previously worked at BCG from 2003 to 2007.
