Toshihisa Hirano joined Boston Consulting Group in January 2010. He is a core member of the firm's Tech and Digital Advantage, Financial Institutions, and Insurance practices. Through BCG’s Ambassador Program, Toshihisa has spent time working in the firm’s Paris office.

Toshihisa works extensively with leading financial service companies with a special focus on banking, investment banking, and insurance. His recent work includes formulating and implementing new business strategy using technology, global business strategy, and retail business strategy; as well as IT optimization and cost reduction.

Before joining BCG, Toshihisa worked for the Bank of Japan.
