Uhuru Malebo joined Boston Consulting Group in November 2020. He brings over ten years of experience in investment banking and management consulting. Uhuru is a member of the firm’s Financial Institutions and Industrial Goods practices, with a deep focus on banking and mining respectively.

Uhuru’s primary area of expertise is sustainability for banks and mining companies. He advises clients on company strategy, performance management, and operational turnaround. He has done work in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Mozambique, and the Middle East. Uhuru also has deep experience serving clients on capital productivity in mining.

Prior to joining BCG, Uhuru was a dealmaker at Rand Merchant Bank (in the Resource Sector Solutions team) where he led sustainability work in mining. Uhuru started his career as a management consultant at Accenture and McKinsey. As engagement manager at McKinsey, Uhuru served clients in banking, mining, and social impact institutions across Africa and the Middle East.
