Tom Vecchiolla joined The Boston Consulting Group in 2017. He is a core member of the Industrial Goods, Public Sector, and Global Advantage practice areas at the firm. Tom is an accomplished aerospace and defense industry executive with extensive experience in global defense sales, Washington-focused government relations, campaign and competitive captures, management of global customer relationships, critical resource management, and organizational effectiveness implementation. 

Prior to joining the firm, Tom was an executive with the Raytheon Company with over 15 years experience and most recently was President, Raytheon International, Inc. Before that, he served as legislative assistant for National Security and Military Affairs to Senator Olympia J. Snowe. Tom was a career naval officer and a designated Department of Defense acquisition professional who served 22 years on active duty as a naval aviator, including several assignments in the Pentagon responsible for acquisition and budgets, and as the commanding officer of a helicopter squadron in San Diego. During his naval service, he deployed around the world with specific assignments to the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean, and the Persian Gulf. He retired from the Navy at the rank of captain.
