Wouter van Leeuwen is a core member of The Boston Consulting Group’s Health Care, Insurance and People & Organization practices.
Since joining BCG in 2004, Wouter has supported multiple health care providers, health insurers and medtech companies on key strategic and organizational effectiveness topics. He has led a number of major hospital mergers focused on increasing the value of health care through better patient outcomes and lower costs and has supported several hospitals in implementing a value-based way of working. He has developed strategic programs for health insurers around medical value management and value-based health care. In the medtech space, Wouter has worked extensively with both service providers and equipment manufacturers on a wide range of strategic initiatives.
Wouter has built up extensive experience on the topic of organizational effectiveness. He has led several transformational efforts to increase the effectiveness of complex matrix organizations, leveraging BCG’s Smart Simplicity approach. And he has supported several post-merger integrations across industries.
