Pieter Van den Berg

Recruiting Partner

Pieter van den Berg, Partner and Managing Director, New York, received his MBA, with distinction, from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his law degree from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Pieter joined BCG as an associate in 2001 and has worked in BCG’s Amsterdam and New York offices. Pieter is a core member of the Financial Institutions and Corporate Development practice areas.

Claudia Newman Martin

Summer Recruiting Director

Claudia Newman-Martin is a Project leader in the New York Office and joined BCG as an associate in 2014. During her time at BCG, Claudia has focused on consumer and social impact work. Prior to joining BCG, Claudia worked as an Attorney, and co-founded a start up in Nairobi, Kenya. Claudia received her Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a degree in Law and Politics from the Australian National University. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling all corners of the globe (and has even been to North Korea!), having long New York brunches with friends, and running along the Hudson.

Kelly Howard

Recruiting Assistant

Kelly is a Recruiting Assistant in the BCG's New York Office, leading associate recruiting efforts at Columbia University. Kelly received her BA in Marketing and Management from the University of South Carolina, and enjoys dancing, hiking, traveling and Carolina football.

Mallory Fisher

Recruiting Assistant

Mallory is a Recruiting Assistant in BCG's New York Office where she leads associate recruiting efforts at Yale University. Prior to joining BCG, Mallory worked as an MBA recruiting assistant at Bain & Company. Mallory holds a BA in Communication from Boston College and enjoys spinning, soccer, and exploring New York City.

Samir Mathrani

Columbia Specialist

Samir Mathrani is a Consultant in the New York Office and joined BCG as an Associate in 2016. Prior to joining BCG Samir graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Computer Science and Mathematics. At BCG Samir has worked across our Financial Institutions, Consumer, Healthcare and Private Equity practice areas. In his free time he enjoys trying out new restaurants in NYC.

Jeff Shiff

Pride@BCG Recruiting Lead

Jeff Shiff is a Project Leader in the Chicago office. He oversees LGBTQ+ recruiting for BCG in North America, coordinating across schools and offices. Jeff is a member of the Consumer practice and has done case work across a number of topics including growth strategy, consumer insights, pricing, and operations. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Goldman Sachs in both New York and Hong Kong. Jeff earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

As part of the Fall 2018 recruiting campaign, students will have the opportunity to apply to BCG for a Full Time Associate or Summer Associate position. Please complete the Columbia Full Time or Internship online application by September 14, 2018 by 11:59 PM at the latest. Please kindly provide:

  • Resume with SAT scores (math/verbal split)
  • Cover letter
  • Copy of your undergraduate transcript with cumulative GPA
  • Top 3 office location preferences

In addition to our summer and fulltime programs, we are currently accepting fulltime applications (available to start in 2019) for our international offices outside of North America. If interested please complete the Columbia online application by September 14th.

Full Time Application Process - GAMMA

We are also accepting full time applications for GAMMA at this time. To learn more about GAMMA consulting work, please visit the GAMMA application site. In order to qualify for a GAMMA position, you must have Master’s degree in a field linked to computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or related data centric field; Minimum requirement ability to code in Python.

The first round of applications for full time GAMMA opportunities are due September 14th, 2018 at 11:59 PM. We will be accepting additional full time GAMMA applications later this year.
