Simon-Pierre Monette

Principal, Montréal Recruiting Director

Simon-Pierre Monette is a Principal in BCG’s Montréal office, which he joined in 2013. At BCG, Simon-Pierre focuses primarily on strategy and operations in the energy and industrial goods practice areas. His case experience includes developing a greenhouse gas emission management strategy for a national oil company, developing a cross-utility tariff structure for a sustainable city, and developing the strategy and business plan for a renewable energy investment company and an OEM in the power sector. Prior to joining BCG, he worked at Alstom in the power generation industry, based in Switzerland, and also worked as a Project Manager at Booz & Company’s Dubai office. Simon-Pierre holds a B.Eng. from McGill University, an M.Sc from École Polytechnique and an MBA with distinction from INSEAD. Outside of work, Simon-Pierre enjoys cycling, running, skiing, travelling and gourmet food. He was once an elite triathlete and completed a marathon in 2h 45min.

Jesse Carmichael

Associate, Concordia Lead

Jesse recently joined BCG Montréal in September 2016 as a full time Associate. Prior to joining BCG, Jesse completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the John Molson School of Business, where she specialized in marketing and finance. While in university, Jesse became heavily involved in case competitions. She competed at several regional and national case competitions, as well as in New Zealand, Spain and Singapore. During this time, Jesse also worked for a nonprofit organization focused on providing resources to family businesses.  In her free time, Jesse enjoys running, reading and travelling.

Mathilde Bertin

Recruiting Associate

Mathilde joined BCG in July 2015 as a Recruiting Assistant and has since been promoted to a Recruiting Associate. She supports the recruiting efforts for Advanced Degree Candidates and outside of Ontario schools at both the associate and consultant level. Prior to working for BCG, Mathilde worked in HR for a leading North American home improvement retailer, as well as the Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO), where she helped match First Nations entrepreneurs and small businesses with volunteer advisers based on their organizational needs and stages of growth. While pursuing her BA degree at McGill University in Montréal, Mathilde also interned as a community health and conservation volunteer in Uganda. Growing up, she lived in Asia, Europe and Canada, and is fluent in English, French, and speaks Nepali and Spanish. In her spare time, Mathilde enjoys outdoor activities, reading, traveling and spending time with her Welsh Terrier.

Lawrence Kuo

Recruiting Partner

Lawrence Kuo is a Partner in BCG’s Toronto office. He joined the firm as an Associate in 1999 after working as a Mechanical Design Engineer at a startup in the Silicon Valley. Since joining BCG, Lawrence has developed strategies to enhance growth, drive operational efficiency and restructure organizations. He has also managed client relationships across telecom, media, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals. In 2007, Lawrence left BCG and joined Rogers Communications. Lawrence first joined the strategy group at Rogers as the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Planning. In this role, he worked to develop and implement key strategic initiatives across the Wireless, Cable and Media companies. Lawrence subsequently held the position of Vice President, Video Product Management where he was responsible for delivering $1.9B in video revenue. After spending almost 6 years with Rogers, Lawrence returned to BCG as a Principal in 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University, a Master of Science from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia University. When not at work, Lawrence enjoys running, skiing, playing piano and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

BCG invites you to join us at BCG's Connection Event open to undergraduate, Master’s, and MBA students scheduled to graduate in 2019 (December 2018- Spring 2019), who are interested in our 2018 summer internship program. Class of 2019 Summer Associate and Consultant Opportunities

Eligibility: Students enrolled in their penultimate year of studies scheduled to graduate in 2019. MBA students are eligible for the summer consultant role, and undergraduates and other Master’s students are eligible for the summer associate role.
Application Deadline: End of October 2017. The exact date and time will be available in mid-September.
