Dewang Shavdia

RECRUITING PARTNER

Dewang Shavdia, Managing Director & Partner, Boston, received his M.Eng. from the Harvard-MIT Health Science & Technology program in 2007. While completing his degree, Dewang worked as a graduate researcher at MIT’s Laboratory for Computational Physiology. His work at BCG has spanned several industries including financial services, consumer goods, and health care. His interests include tennis, guitar, and cooking.

Jonathan Bateman

Recruiting Director

Jonathan is a Project Leader in the Boston office who joined BCG in 2013 as an Associate after graduating from Brown University with an AB in History and Middle East Studies. He has spent his time at BCG working across a wide variety of industries such as healthcare, industrials, financial services, retail and insurance, focusing primarily in strategy and corporate finance topics. He left BCG in 2016 to work at a technology and healthcare private equity firm, Riverside Partners, before getting his MBA from Kellogg and returning to BCG. He has also worked for a number of healthcare startups, and spent time at Abbott Ventures, the VC arm of Abbott Labs. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys playing soccer, downhill skiing, hiking and traveling with his fiancé.

Kelly Koltun

TALENT ACQUISITION SENIOR SPECIALIST

Kelly is the Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist for the Associate Program in BCG's Boston office and leads MIT undergraduate recruiting. Prior to joining BCG, she was an Event Coordinator & PR Consultant for Benchmark Strategies. Kelly holds a BS in Communication with a minor in political science from Boston University. In her free time, Kelly enjoys taking bootcamp classes, spending time on the beach, and cheering on the Boston Bruins.

Jen McDermott

MIT Specialist

Jen McDermott, Associate, Boston, joined BCG as a Summer Associate in 2018 and returned full-time in July 2019. Jen graduated from MIT with a Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics (Course 15-2) and a minor in Political Science. Since joining BCG, Jen has worked in both the retail and financial institutions practice areas. Outside of work, Jen enjoys traveling, yoga, and discovering new coffee shops!

Jenna Mackenzie

GAMMA Recruiting Specialist

Jenna Mackenzie, GAMMA Recruiting Specialist who helps manage all GAMMA campus recruiting across North America. Jenna joined BCG in 2018 and sits in the Boston office. Outside of work, she enjoys painting and has even instructed a session for an affiliation event.

Application Process

Full Time Associate Application Deadline

Are you graduating between December 2021 and June 2022 and ready to be an Associate at BCG after graduation? Please apply here by Friday, July 16th, 2021 at 11:59 PM ET.

You will be asked to provide:

  • A resume
  • Your top 3 office preferences (weighted to reflect your level of interest in each)
  • A cover letter (optional—you may upload your resume twice if the system requires an upload and you do not want to submit a cover letter)
  • Cumulative GPA
  • Standardized test scores (ACT and/or SAT with subscore breakdowns)

If you apply to a US BCG office, you will receive an email inviting you to play the pymetrics games after you submit your application. These 12 neuroscience-based games provide insight into your cognitive and emotional attributes and your potential for success at BCG. The games take about 25 minutes to play, and you will have 48 hours to play them after receiving the invitation. For more information on pymetrics, please click here.

BCG Summer Sessions

June, 2021 - July, 2021 Virtual BCG Summer Sessions is a series of virtual talks through which BCGers will share insider perspectives on what it’s like to be an Associate at BCG. You’ll learn about the impactful work we do, our transformative digital capabilities, and the many opportunities, support systems, programs, and tools we offer to help our Associates learn, grow, succeed—and have fun!—at BCG. We’ll also share tips on the recruiting process and give you a chance to ask the questions most on your mind about consulting and BCG. If you are an undergraduate student at a school located in the US or Canada in the class of 2022, class of 2023, or class of 2024, we hope you’ll join us this summer!
