Helen Quirke

Principal, Consultant Recruiting Director

Helen Quirke is a Principal and the Consultant Recruiting Director in the Toronto office. She joined BCG in February 2013 as a Consultant in the Perth, Australia office. While at BCG Helen has worked mostly in industrial goods and energy (mining, postal operations, hydroelectricity and oil trading) with deep expertise in large capital projects. She has also led high profile strategic reviews in broadband infrastructure in Australia and social housing in New Zealand. Prior to joining BCG in 2013, Helen worked for the Government of New Zealand managing investment into high performance sport, specifically Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Prior to that, she worked as a lawyer representing New Zealand’s professional rugby players, including the All Blacks. Helen holds a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Laws degree from Victoria University of Wellington, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business from Auckland University and an MBA from the University of Cambridge. Outside of work, Helen enjoys the outdoors, all sports and attending live events.

Mohammed Ajmal

Consultant, Rotman MBA Captain

Mohammed Ajmal is a Consultant in BCG’s Toronto office. He first joined the firm as a Summer Consultant in 2015 and returned in 2016. He has worked in Financial Services, Consumer Goods and on projects involving BCG’s Seat at the Table initiative. His project experience ranges from supporting an Operating Model transformation at a leading North American financial institution to defining and operationalizing a National procurement model at a leading Canadian retailer. Prior to joining BCG, Mohammed spent 7 years at IBM Canada, most recently leading a multi-national team of software engineers. He has an extensive background in software development and complex algorithmic techniques. Mohammed holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto where he was awarded the Roger N. Wolff prize. He also holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science with Honours both from the University of Toronto. In his spare time, Mohammed enjoys spending time with his family, including two young sons, and playing tennis at every opportunity.

Jette Tam

Recruiting Coordinator

Jette is a Recruiting Coordinator at BCG. Since joining BCG, Jette has looked after Associate hiring across Canada, and currently manages MBA and Experienced hiring. Prior to joining BCG, Jette was a Talent Acquisition Specialist with Michael Page International, recruiting for a variety of different clients and roles in consumer goods, retail, industrial, and professional services across Canada. Jette holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts double majoring in Employment Relations and English in 2009, and a Masters in Human Resources and Industrial Relations in 2010 from the University of Toronto. In her spare time, Jette loves to travel, discover new restaurants, and watching films.

Lawrence Kuo

Recruiting Partner

Lawrence Kuo is a Partner in BCG’s Toronto office. He joined the firm as an Associate in 1999 after working as a Mechanical Design Engineer at a startup in the Silicon Valley. Since joining BCG, Lawrence has developed strategies to enhance growth, drive operational efficiency and restructure organizations. He has also managed client relationships across telecom, media, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals. In 2007, Lawrence left BCG and joined Rogers Communications. Lawrence first joined the strategy group at Rogers as the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Planning. In this role, he worked to develop and implement key strategic initiatives across the Wireless, Cable and Media companies. Lawrence subsequently held the position of Vice President, Video Product Management where he was responsible for delivering $1.9B in video revenue. After spending almost 6 years with Rogers, Lawrence returned to BCG as a Principal in 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University, a Master of Science from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia University. When not at work, Lawrence enjoys running, skiing, playing piano and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
