Kyle Ruttan

Principal, Associate Recruiting Director

Kyle is a Principal in BCG’s Toronto office. He originally joined the firm as a Summer Associate in 2009 and returned as a full-time Associate in 2010. Kyle spent a year abroad in 2017 working in BCG’s Sydney office, helping Australian telecom clients. Kyle is a core member of BCG’s Telecom, Media and Technology practice, helping telecom and media clients on a variety of topics including revenue growth, data strategy and company turn-arounds. Prior to BCG, Kyle completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree and an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Western Ontario and the Richard Ivey School of Business. Outside of work, Kyle enjoys following the Raptors and Jays, snowboarding and when he can, trying to keep up the little surfing he learned down under.

Carmen Rendall

Recruiting Coordinator

Carmen supports the Associate recruiting efforts for Ontario schools, as well as undergrad programs outside of Ontario. Prior to working for BCG, Carmen worked in the legal industry and was most recently responsible for the management and coordination of campus recruiting and student programming at McMillan LLP. She graduated with Honours from the Law Clerk program at Humber College and began her career specializing in litigation and general corporate/commercial law as a law clerk. In her spare time, Carmen enjoys golfing, cooking and spending time at the cottage.

Helen Quirke

Principal, Consultant Recruiting Director

Helen is a Principal and the Consultant Recruiting Director in the Toronto office. She joined BCG in February 2013 as a Consultant in the Perth, Australia office. While at BCG Helen has worked mostly in industrial goods and energy (mining, postal operations, hydroelectricity and oil trading) with deep expertise in large capital projects. She has also led high profile strategic reviews in broadband infrastructure in Australia and social housing in New Zealand. Prior to joining BCG in 2013, Helen worked for the Government of New Zealand managing investment into high performance sport, specifically Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Prior to that, she worked as a lawyer representing New Zealand’s professional rugby players, including the All Blacks. Helen holds a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Laws degree from Victoria University of Wellington, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business from Auckland University and an MBA from the University of Cambridge. Outside of work, Helen enjoys the outdoors, all sports and attending live events.

Alex Melnik

Consultant, Schulich MBA Lead

Alexandr joined BCG as a Consultant in September 2015 after earning an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.  Since joining BCG in 2015, Alexandr has worked with clients in financial services, retail and mining. Prior to BCG, he worked for 8 years at Kenaidan Contracting, a general contractor operating in the Greater Toronto Area. While at Kenaidan, Alexandr held multiple positions and was involved in many civil and infrastructure projects; acquiring skills in field engineering, construction operations, estimating, project management and financial accounting. Besides his MBA, Alexandr also holds a CMA / CPA designation, and has received an International BBA from the Schulich School of Business. During his undergrad, he spent 6 months on exchange at EDHEC in Nice, France. Outside of work, Alexandr enjoys practicing martial arts, learning foreign languages and traveling.

Brittany Copeland

Recruiting Assistant

Brittany supports the recruiting efforts of Ontario based MBA programs for Consultant hiring. Prior to joining BCG, Brittany worked for Hudson's Bay Company as a Human Resources Administrator and Recruiter, where she focused on recruitment and internal HR processes. Prior to Hudson's Bay, Brittany worked for Grant Thornton LLP on their National Campus Recruitment team. She was heavily involved in the creation and execution of their CPA campus recruitment strategy. Brittany holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Acadia University and an Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management. When not at work, Brittany enjoys cooking, discovering new music, attending TFC games, and exploring Toronto.

Lawrence Kuo

Recruiting Partner

Lawrence is a Partner in BCG’s Toronto office. He joined the firm as an Associate in 1999 after working as a Mechanical Design Engineer at a startup in the Silicon Valley. Since joining BCG, Lawrence has developed strategies to enhance growth, drive operational efficiency and restructure organizations. He has also managed client relationships across telecom, media, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals. In 2007, Lawrence left BCG and joined Rogers Communications. Lawrence first joined the strategy group at Rogers as the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Planning. In this role, he worked to develop and implement key strategic initiatives across the Wireless, Cable and Media companies. Lawrence subsequently held the position of Vice President, Video Product Management where he was responsible for delivering $1.9B in video revenue. After spending almost 6 years with Rogers, Lawrence returned to BCG as a Principal in 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University, a Master of Science from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia University. When not at work, Lawrence enjoys running, skiing, playing piano and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

The next available opportunities will be in September of 2018 for the full-time process open to the graduating class of 2019.
