Michael Zhang Bio Headshot

Michael Zhang

Managing Director & Partner

Mike Zhang is a Managing Director and Partner in BCG's San Francisco office and a core member of the Financial Institutions Practice, with a focus on retail banking and payments. Previously, he worked in BCG's New York City and Washington, D.C. offices. Prior to joining BCG, Mike worked in the investment banking division at Morgan Stanley and completed internships at Target Corporation and the Minnesota Chamber or Commerce. Mike received his BA in Economics from Stanford University, and his MBA from Harvard Business School.


Myrna Carlebur


Myrna Carlebur is a Project Leader in BCG’s San Francisco office and a core member of the Consumer and Retail Practice, focusing on consumer insights and commercial strategy. She has also spent time in BCG’s Social Impact Practice, one of her personal passions. Myrna started her BCG journey in the London office, before transferring to San Francisco in 2018. Prior to BCG, she worked at Procter & Gamble as a product development manager bringing new innovations to market. Myrna holds a BA and Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge.


Adriana Bechini

Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist

Adriana joined Boston Consulting Group in 2019. Prior to BCG, she worked in legal recruiting for a Am Law 100 firm recruiting attorneys and law students for several California offices. Adriana received her BA in Psychology and Philosophy from Southern Methodist University.


Jonathan Xu

Berkeley Specialist

Jonathan joined BCG SF as an Associate in 2018. Prior to joining BCG, Jonathan has served a variety of roles within the enterprise technology industry. He worked as a Sales Business Operations Intern within Slack’s Strategic Finance department, focusing on top-line growth. Before that, he was a Technical Product Management Intern at Salesforce on the Infrastructure Analytics team, and he also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Salesforce on their core CRM tool. He received a B.A. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and has completed additional coursework in Music.


Fangfei Yin

Berkeley Specialist

Fangfei joined BCG SF as a summer Associate in 2017 and returned full-time in 2018. To date, she has had extensive case experience in TMT and PIPE. She is also interested in social impact, public sector, global health, and consumer case work. Prior to BCG, Fangfei has worked at Salesforce.com and at the Haas Center for Responsible Business. During her time at UC Berkeley, Fangfei conducted research on health and sanitation in India.

Sakthi Ponnuswamy

Sakthi Ponnuswamy

Berkeley Specialist

Sakthi is an Associate in BCG's San Francisco office. She graduated, with Honors, from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Business Administration. During her time at Berkeley, Sakthi was a UGSI for "Introductory Economics" and wrote a thesis, titled "Differences By Race and Gender in Persistence Rates After Taking Introductory Classes in Economics and Computer Science. During the summer of 2018, Sakthi worked with the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Since coming back full-time, she has primarily focused on change management work. Sakthi loves working out, running, and cooking in her free time.


Aaron Chelliah

Berkeley Specialist

Aaron returned to BCG’s San Francisco office in 2019 after interning the year prior. Before interning, he worked at IBM in sales and marketing and PwC in their rotational program. At Cal, Aaron studied Business Administration and Cognitive Science. While at school, he led and spoke at TEDxBerkeley.


Jenna Mackenzie

GAMMA Recruiting Specialist

Jenna Mackenzie, GAMMA Recruiting Specialist who helps manage all GAMMA campus recruiting across North America. Jenna joined BCG in 2018 and sits in the Boston office. Outside of work, she enjoys painting and has even instructed a session for an affiliation event.


BCG Summer Sessions

June, 2021 - July, 2021 Virtual BCG Summer Sessions is a series of virtual talks through which BCGers will share insider perspectives on what it’s like to be an Associate at BCG. You’ll learn about the impactful work we do, our transformative digital capabilities, and the many opportunities, support systems, programs, and tools we offer to help our Associates learn, grow, succeed—and have fun!—at BCG. We’ll also share tips on the recruiting process and give you a chance to ask the questions most on your mind about consulting and BCG. If you are an undergraduate student at a school located in the US or Canada in the class of 2022, class of 2023, or class of 2024, we hope you’ll join us this summer!

Application Process

Full Time Associate Application Deadline

Are you graduating between December 2021 and June 2022 and ready to be an Associate at BCG after graduation? Please apply here by Friday, July 16th, 2021 at 11:59 PM ET.

You will be asked to provide:

  • A resume
  • Your top 3 office preferences (weighted to reflect your level of interest in each)
  • A cover letter (optional—you may upload your resume twice if the system requires an upload and you do not want to submit a cover letter)
  • Cumulative GPA
  • Standardized test scores (ACT and/or SAT with subscore breakdowns)

If you apply to a US BCG office, you will receive an email inviting you to play the pymetrics games after you submit your application. These 12 neuroscience-based games provide insight into your cognitive and emotional attributes and your potential for success at BCG. The games take about 25 minutes to play, and you will have 48 hours to play them after receiving the invitation. For more information on pymetrics, please click here.
