Doug Powell

DET ADC Recruiting Specialist

Doug is a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. Prior to joining BCG, Doug was a post doctoral researcher in the field of solar photovoltaics at MIT and worked on a startup company focused on organic waste processing. He received his PhD in mechanical engineering from MIT and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Ohio State University. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with family and working on cars.

Lilly Connett

DET Women's Recruiting Lead

Lilly is a project leader in the Detroit office of The Boston Consulting Group. Prior to joining BCG, Lilly worked in international development including time as a researcher in the Galapagos and with the Mozambique health systems. She earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an MS in environmental sciences from the University of Michigan and a BA from the University of Chicago. In her leisure time, Lilly is passionate about all things Midwest and has lived and worked in five continents.

Mike Quinn

DET Diversity Recruiting Lead

Mike is a principal at The Boston Consulting Group. He leads many of BCG’s efforts within the automotive technology sector. He is a topic expert within BCG’s Center for Digital in Automotive, with a focus on infotainment, telematics, and self-driving vehicles. He has done extensive work in cloud computing and agile software development across industries. He holds 6 patents related to vehicle technology. Mike holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a master’s degree in electrical engineering systems from the University of Michigan with a focus on Communication Systems and Artificial Intelligence, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering also from the University of Michigan. In his leisure time, Mike enjoys playing golf & basketball, traveling for pleasure and exploring new restaurants in Detroit.

Ryan Mayes

DET LGBT Recruiting Lead

Ryan is a consultant in the Detroit office of The Boston Consulting Group. Prior to joining the Detroit office, Ryan spent one year in the Los Angeles office, where he was also a summer intern. While at BCG, he has worked in consumer goods, automotive, and higher education. Prior to joining BCG, Ryan worked in the hospitality industry in New York City, where he managed two high-volume nightlife establishments. In his leisure time, he enjoys traveling, crossfit, and playing piano.

Charlene Chu

Detroit Recruiting Manager

Charlene Chu is the Recruiting Manager for the Detroit office of The Boston Consulting Group. Charlene was previously a project leader for BCG and also worked for Ford Motor Co. and FordDirect in various product development and leadership roles. Charlene received a MBA from Wharton School of Business. She also has a master’s and bachelor’s degree in electrical & computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. In her leisure time, Charlene enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and being outdoors.

Carol Lamb is the ADC Recruiting Associate for the Detroit office of The Boston Consulting Group. Prior to joining BCG, Carol worked for General Motors in various managerial roles within the vehicle sales, service and marketing division. Carol received a master of science in management from Indiana Wesleyan University. She also has a bachelor’s of science degree in finance from The Pennsylvania State University. In her leisure time, Carol enjoys spending time reading, practicing Pilates, playing tennis and biking with her family.

Erin Morehouse

International Recruiting Manager

Erin serves as BCG's International Recruiting Manager based in Detroit, MI. Beyond her eight years of BCG Recruiting experience, having also worked in local office and campus roles for the New York and New Jersey offices, she has three years of pre-BCG experience, primarily in campus recruiting. Erin most recently served as BCG's ADC recruiting manager developing and leading BCG's recruiting efforts focused on non-MBA Advanced Degree Hiring (PhD, MD, and JD). Erin received her MBA at Ross School of Business at University of Michigan.

Amy McKnight Fazen

Head of Consultant Campus Recruiting

Amy McKnight Fazen is the Head of Consultant Campus Recruiting at BCG. She joined the firm’s Boston office in August 2011. Prior to joining BCG, Amy was Vice President of Business Operations at XL Hybrids, a MIT start-up. She also worked in corporate finance at the TJX Companies and as a strategy consultant for both Altman Vilandrie & Co and Cambridge Strategic Management Group. Amy graduated from Colgate University and holds a S.M. from the MIT/WHOI Joint Program in Oceanography. Amy also received a MBA from MIT Sloan, where she was a Forte Fellow and Co-President of the MIT Energy Club. In her spare time she enjoys biking and spending time with her husband and two daughters, Addie and Reid.

Application Process

Bridge to BCG

Bridge to BCG is a three day workshop for advanced degree candidates being held this summer and will allow participants to test drive consulting and:

  • Find out about consulting and get to know BCG
  • Participate in a realistic case team experience
  • Learn from BCG's thought leaders
  • Meet BCG consultants and students during social and educational events

Applications for Bridge to BCG are being accepted until April 8, 2018.

Travel and meal expenses will be covered. This workshop is specifically for advanced degree candidates (PhDs, MDs, post-docs, and JDs) who plan to begin at BCG in 2019.
