Carey is the recruiting lead for the University of Cape Town and University of Stellenbosch. She joined in 2016. Before BCG, Carey completed her Honours degree in Organisational Psychology at UCT.

Stefano Niavas came to The Boston Consulting Group in 2001 and was based first in the firm’s Paris office and then in its New York office. He is one of the founding members of BCG Johannesburg office and leads the Consumer and Retail practice in Africa for BCG. At BCG, Stefano has worked primarily in consumer goods, focusing on retail, packaged goods, media, and airlines in Western Europe, North America, and Africa.

He is also a member of the firm’s Global Advantage and Marketing, Sales & Pricing practices. Stefano comes from Cote d'Ivoire and enjoys spending time with his family and friends particularly around West African food.

Internship positions:

At BCG, your potential is limited only by your talents and ambitions. Join our team as a Visiting Associate for 4 weeks and experience management consulting at its best. The internship program will kick off with a training in Mauritius for a week. Discover a career of challenges, rewards, and the best platform to create your own success story. The knowledge, experience, and skills you gain will provide you with a springboard to excel in any field within BCG or beyond. You will work alongside and be coached by some of the finest minds in business—from day one. You will be fully involved in transformational, cutting-edge client work. We are looking for students with outstanding academic records, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, and great ambition. Grow@BCG program:

Grow@BCG is a remarkable opportunity to experience the world of consulting in your second year. This exclusive program includes an intense three-day all-expenses paid trip to Sandton for training at our BCG offices. You will then join a three/four month case competition where you and your team help to answer a live case question posed by a real client. Here teams simulate a BCG team, guided by a BCG consultant. At the end of the competition, each team will present their findings to the client. And of course, the winning team will be awarded a grand prize. Further to the actual competition and accompanying training, each Grow@BCG participant will receive a mentor as well as extra case practice opportunities to help him/her prepare for the BCG Visiting Associate (internship) program the following year (open to third years).
