Kyle Ruttan

Principal, Associate Recruiting Director

Kyle is a Principal in BCG’s Toronto office. He originally joined the firm as a Summer Associate in 2009 and returned as a full-time Associate in 2010. Kyle spent a year abroad in 2017 working in BCG’s Sydney office, helping Australian telecom clients. Kyle is a core member of BCG’s Telecom, Media and Technology practice, helping telecom and media clients on a variety of topics including revenue growth, data strategy and company turn-arounds. Prior to BCG, Kyle completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree and an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Western Ontario and the Richard Ivey School of Business. Outside of work, Kyle enjoys following the Raptors and Jays, snowboarding and when he can, trying to keep up the little surfing he learned down under.

Cindy You

Associate, Waterloo Lead

Cindy joined the Toronto office as an Associate in January 2017 after completing a summer internship in 2015. Since joining BCG, Cindy has gained case experience in the telecom and retail practice areas. She graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics and previously spent co-op terms in the Audit practice at KPMG. While at Waterloo, Cindy was active in the TEDxUW community and organized the 2015 conference. Outside of work, Cindy is an avid rock climber, board game enthusiast and travel addict. Prior to starting with BCG, Cindy spent six months traveling through South East Asia, Europe and Western Canada.

Carmen Rendall

Recruiting Coordinator

Carmen supports the Associate recruiting efforts for Ontario schools, as well as undergrad programs outside of Ontario. Prior to working for BCG, Carmen worked in the legal industry and was most recently responsible for the management and coordination of campus recruiting and student programming at McMillan LLP. She graduated with Honours from the Law Clerk program at Humber College and began her career specializing in litigation and general corporate/commercial law as a law clerk. In her spare time, Carmen enjoys golfing, cooking and spending time at the cottage.

Lawrence Kuo

Recruiting Partner

Lawrence is a Partner in BCG’s Toronto office. He joined the firm as an Associate in 1999 after working as a Mechanical Design Engineer at a startup in the Silicon Valley. Since joining BCG, Lawrence has developed strategies to enhance growth, drive operational efficiency and restructure organizations. He has also managed client relationships across telecom, media, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals. In 2007, Lawrence left BCG and joined Rogers Communications. Lawrence first joined the strategy group at Rogers as the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Planning. In this role, he worked to develop and implement key strategic initiatives across the Wireless, Cable and Media companies. Lawrence subsequently held the position of Vice President, Video Product Management where he was responsible for delivering $1.9B in video revenue. After spending almost 6 years with Rogers, Lawrence returned to BCG as a Principal in 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University, a Master of Science from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia University. When not at work, Lawrence enjoys running, skiing, playing piano and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
