Begüm Is an Insightful Storyteller

Right from the start, I was engaged with multiple topics and people from various geographies and all levels. BCG is truly a global innovation engine!

In Begüm's Words

I joined BCG from a global financial-services firm, where I worked as a corporate strategist. I had started my career as a management consultant, working on strategy and transformation projects. I do enjoy developing and delivering short but high-impact projects, and I have been privileged to be part of projects that have brought bold change—both internally and to society at large.

When I was invited to BCG for an interview, I felt it was time for my next challenge. BCG was the company of my dreams during my college years, and I was ready to make a fresh start. I already felt at home during my first visit and am now a proud member of the BCG family. I am now living my dream! This is a company with diverse talent offering creative insights and is passionate to deliver world-changing ideas.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: I like that every new beginning at BCG starts with structured creativity. Regardless of which level you are, you and your team can come up with very innovative ideas and deliver solid results with a crystal clear structure that is relevant to the client.

Q: What does innovation mean to you, and how do you innovate in your role?

A: To me innovation means a new idea, invention, or model that creates concrete business impact. I believe there are two phases of innovation: creativity in ideation, when generating best-of-breed ideas across industries or across functions can help enormously; and seamless execution, which delivers with a solid structured approach.

Q: If you could go back in time and tell your 18-year-old self one thing, what would it be?

A: Don’t worry. Be social and study hard. BCG will welcome you when you are ready to make a big impact on society at large.
