A client came back to us nine months after setting the strategy—and reported that sales had hit an all-time record thanks to our work together! These are the moments I work for as a consultant.
I coming from a "classic" business background; I learned business management in the university and participated in several case study competitions. This is how I was attracted to BCG, as well. I got to know BCGers and what they do in their daily life at the BCG Strategy Cup. Since I joined, I have worked within a large variety of industries, from health care to banking. As fits my interests, I have mostly been involved in strategy projects, including outlining growth directions and setting the path for efficient operations.
What I like at BCG the most is the incredible team I have had the chance to work with every day. They are smart and supportive and everyone is committed to making the work a success—while still making this ride enjoyable and fun.

Q: What did you learn in your first year on the job?
A: At BCG, you can never get bored. You are constantly challenged: by a new industry, new client, new team members, or just by a new location. Continuous changes. But already in your first year, you learn to handle the unpredictable, which is a very useful skill—both in your professional and personal life.
Q: Why did you choose to work at BCG?
A: I chose BCG for very simple reasons. When I graduated, I was looking for a place where I could learn a lot, gain international experience and work with smart people in a supportive working environment—and I found BCG.
Q: How do you maintain a sustainable career balance at BCG?
A: I believe that we can do our best work if we set up a sustainable working style. For me this means that weekends are for family and friends, doing some exercises (mostly yoga) during the week, and trying to get new inspiration from theater or books on a regular basis.
