Felix Is a Transformative Explorer

One of the many lessons I have learned at BCG, after coming from a completely different environment, was this: from all your strengths, select what is fun to develop and put all your energy into that. Dive deep into it and try to be the best at it that you can. This will make you a valuable player on every team.

In Felix’s Words

After finishing my theater and acting studies at the National School of Arts in Havana, I worked as a stage and film actor for seven years. Personal reasons have brought my path to Zurich, where BCG and I have come together. At BCG, I have found an open minded place in which to learn, develop new skills, explore, and meet outstanding people, some of whom have become very influential mentors to my professional and personal growth, as well as friends. As a young artist, I always had this inquietude that pushed me to discover and find explanations, to find the truth between the lines. At BCG, I have learned that the real obstacle on the way to finding these answers is the amount of effort we are willing to put in to get them.

About Felix

Felix studied theater arts at the National School of Arts in Havana and is currently working on a Swiss Federal Certificate in marketing and sales.

Q: How has BCG helped you grow and succeed?

A: At BCG, I found very dynamic environment, very diverse teams at all levels and a culture of open communication. This gave the opportunity to learn from different kinds of topics and people and even directly from our leaders. I have had the opportunity to reach out and get advice from those who drive the future of industries and make big changes happen.

Q: Can you give an example of a time when your team came together in a really big way?

A: During Christmas 2011, after being in Switzerland for two years, I finally had the chance to fly back home and see my parents and friends. I mentioned it to the team while talking about our holiday plans, and my colleagues completely surprised me by deciding to fly with me and be with me on new year’s eve. They wanted to share some time with me in my country after I spent two very intensive years working and leaning from them the best ways to get to know Switzerland and its people. For a team like this, every extra effort makes sense and is just fun sharing time, learning from each other, and getting where we want to be as a team.

Q: What are some of your favorite things to do outside the office?

A: I love watching movies—history-documentary or biography films. I enjoy time with family, having a relaxed coffee with friends, and finding the best Asian restaurant in town.
