Project Leader, Dubai
At BCG, Allies bring a sense of collaboration and excitement to their teams. They create an atmosphere of trust and support in which people can do their best work. Hasan finds clarity in a complex world.
If you’re the smartest person in the room, then you’re in the wrong room.
During my engineering studies, I discovered my passion for problem solving, but the environment I was in did not fully satisfy my desire to make a broader impact. Joining BCG brought those two things together for me, and I’ve been able to work on interesting problems that have a high impact both for our clients and for me personally. One of my most memorable projects involved developing a country localization strategy that has since been approved by the government and is currently being implemented!
On a more personal level, what really makes BCG unique for me is the people and culture. I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside local teams as well as teams from other offices and in all cases everyone I have met has been so friendly, helpful, and humble. This makes it easy to build relationships and connections and becomes extremely important especially during those late nights on the case. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Hasan holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management in Toronto and a BSc in chemical engineering from the University of Toronto.
Q: What is something that has surprised you about working at BCG?
A: How well connected the global offices are. It really isn’t just you and your team working on the case. You’re easily able to tap into a large network of colleagues and experts who are always more than happy to help.
Q: What’s the biggest impact you have had with your work?
A: Designing a strategy that impacts an entire country and seeing it be approved and implemented by the country’s government.
Q: If you weren’t working at BCG, what would you be doing?
A: Most likely I would be a TV show host. (Little known fact: I gave up such a role just prior to joining BCG.)
