At BCG, Seekers go deep into the challenging issues our clients face. Their curiosity empowers our teams to facilitate change and add value to society. Keirin finds clarity in a complex world.
BCG reminds me every day that it is my duty to challenge my seniors, peers, and team members in order to put clients’ interest first and serve my client’s agenda to the best of our ability.
My background in computer science has led me through stints in software development, project management, and management consulting at BCG where I help solve sophisticated, multifaceted business issues through digital transformations.
BCG has been an incredible place of learning and growth for me. My new BCG colleagues welcomed and integrated me as a lateral senior hire into both global BCG values and local BCG culture. It was intriguing for me to see how BCGers challenge each other on ideas comfortably and respectfully, regardless of tenure or seniority, to ensure that the best ideas prevail.
BCG is unique in many ways. But it’s the mind-set of many BCGers who want to help you succeed that makes this place truly stand out above all else.
Q: Why did you choose to work at BCG?
A: I joined BCG because I wanted to work with driven and smart colleagues to create significant impact in the business world in a sustainable manner. BCG provides simple yet powerful tools, such as a bi-weekly survey known as PTO (predictability, teaming and open communication), which helps diagnose and improve the team culture, and flextime options, which help sustain one’s career in a field characterized by long hours and significant travel away from home. So far, my decision to join BCG has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Q: What’s the biggest impact you have had with your work?
A: I have recently supported a national labor market transformation program for a Middle Eastern government, covering an end-to-end journey of a large scale transformation. The program, aimed at tackling high unemployment rates among youth and women and increasing skills in the labor market, is now live on a public, national scale and open to millions of citizens. I am proud that I played a small part in bringing this positive change to a country.
Q: What’s your home office environment like?
A: BCG Middle East, particularly the Dubai office, is an incredibly diverse and accepting community, much like Dubai itself. We celebrate cultures from all corners of the globe and appreciate how diversity in the office community broadens and strengthens our perspectives.
