Project Leader, Moscow
At BCG, Seekers go deep into the challenging issues our clients face. Their curiosity empowers our teams to facilitate change and add value to society. Olga empowers and inspires others.
BCG gave me an opportunity to be flexible to follow my passion and supported me in adjusting my career path as my priorities shifted.
Joining BCG right after earning my MBA was both exciting and challenging. I was looking for opportunities to accelerate my professional development yet continue building expertise in the FMCG world—something that I loved and knew. BCG truly helped me to chart my own course. I have been working for various clients on topics within retail and FMCG in a very stimulating yet supportive environment. Being a part of the solution to the toughest issues and then witnessing those solutions bring results is what I enjoy most at BCG.
I recently had my first child, and my priorities have shifted. Nowhere else have I seen a company with so much commitment to its people and their life needs. BCG helps me succeed: I am now working at 80% on the cases that require no travel and continue driving meaningful change with our clients. At the same time, I can be there for my young daughter and spend quality time with her. BCG enabled me to balance my priorities and feel fulfilled in both my professional and personal life.
Olga holds a BA from Belarus State Economic University and an MBA from INSEAD.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I enjoy most about BCG is the ability to drive meaningful change with our clients. BCG usually gets involved in the burning questions on clients' agendas when there are no easy and obvious solutions. Designing solutions to the complex issues together with top professionals from both BCG and client teams and then seeing solutions implemented and driving business results is absolutely fascinating for me.
Q: What inspires you about BCG?
A: My colleagues are a constant source of inspiration for me—working with bright yet diverse individuals who share common values and strive for excellence in everything they do. At the same time, the culture of constant support and "never letting another BCGer fail" is what makes BCG magic.
Q: Why is BCG a good place for a woman to work?
A: BCG’s commitment to women is real. Nowhere else have I seen so many opportunities for women that allow for a balance of work and family: the ability to work part time and work remotely, support to ensure a smooth transition from maternity leave, and coaching and mentorship designed especially for women to enable them succeed. I don’t believe any other employer can match this.
