In Patricia’s Words

I had around ten years of experience in marketing and communications when I arrived at BCG. What brought me here was the idea of expanding my horizons and being part of a company with deep knowledge and broad expertise—but what I found was much more than that.

At BCG, I found a truly collaborative and diverse environment—and not limited to my local office: my team is all over the world! No single day is the same as the one that came before, and I have the space and opportunities to do and learn new things every day.

BCG is a living company, always transforming, innovating, and evolving. There is so much going on, and I feel a part of it!

About Patricia

Patricia holds a bachelor’s degree in visual communications (honors) from Universidad de Chile, a literature diploma from Universidad de Santiago, and a strategic-marketing diploma from Universidad Adolfo Ibañez.

Q: What did you learn in your first year on the job?

A: In my first year at BCG, I learned there are no ceilings. You have access to the needed tools and opportunities to draw your own path and achieve both personal and professionals goals.

Q: What international experiences at BCG have been the most interesting for you?

A: One of the most interesting international experiences I have had at BCG was to be part of the team involved in the opening of our new office in Lima, Peru. Even though I lead marketing in other Latin American countries, every market is different and unique and involves new challenges to face. That is the hard and also the fun part of it.

Beyond the amazing learning behind this experience, one of the most inspiring parts of it was to experience the warm and incredible reception from the local business community, media outlets, and the market overall to our arrival in the country. It was really impressive to experience the positioning BCG has in the world and to be part of it!

Q: What are some of your favorite things to do outside of the office?

A: Some of my favorite things to do outside the office are learning new dances—or at least try to! I've tried Arabic dancing, Flamenco, salsa, samba—and I’m looking for something new at the time. I also love reading a variety of books, practicing meditation, and taking long walks with my daughter and dog.
