At BCG, Allies bring a sense of collaboration and excitement to their teams. They create an atmosphere of trust and support in which people can do their best work. Rebecka is unafraid to try new things.
At BCG, I continue to develop and grow every day, there is always a new challenge around the corner and support available to overcome it.
I am currently working as a Consultant in the Stockholm office, but will soon head off to our Sydney office for a year abroad. My time with BCG started in 2014 at a case course BCG co-hosted SSE, my university at the time. I was intrigued by the interesting challenges BCG consultants had to solve while supporting businesses on a daily basis. Imagine working at the intersection of key strategic questions, with the largest global businesses and with ambitious and creative people. I could not resist joining. I did an internship the next year and started as an Associate at the BCG office in 2016. I have not looked back since. The opportunities are truly extraordinary and I cannot wait to see what BCG in Sydney holds for me.
Rebecka holds a BSc in Business and Economics from Stockholm School of Economics. She spent exchange semesters abroad both in Los Angeles and Vancouver. She also worked at Goldman Sachs in London.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I am never bored! Every day is filled with new challenges and opportunities to tackle together with a great team.
Q: When did you know you belonged at BCG?
A: My first impression of BCG was at a case course they held at my school, SSE. After that, I did the internship and immediately realized that I never felt as motivated as I did during those weeks. I could not resist joining full time.
Q: What international experiences at BCG have been the most interesting for you?
A: During my time at BCG, different projects have already taken me beyond my home office in Stockholm. It has been evident what a great learning opportunity it is to work in an international setting together with multinational teams. For example, I have been working to develop the future omni-channel operating model for a global retailer, where I spent the majority of my time traveling around Europe—from Amsterdam, London, and Sweden, to Madrid. It was evident that the great diversity in the team drove unparalleled creativity and ultimately impact. I am soon to travel for an international program called Associate Abroad, to spend 12 months in Sydney.
Q: What are some of your favorite things to do outside of the office?
A: Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family and staying active. I love skiing, hiking, yoga, and watersports like surfing, swimming, and diving. My family is from the North of Sweden, Kiruna, where exploring nature is done either with hiking boots in the summer or with a pair of skies in the winter. My time in Los Angeles took my outdoor passion also to watersport like surfing, and my time in Canada made my interest for skiing grow even further.
