BCG taught me to never underestimate myself and what I can achieve together with my team. If it hasn’t been done before, we will find a way to do it and do it in the best possible way!
I joined BCG because I felt it would be a place that would challenge me and make me grow intellectually. I am someone who gets bored easily and like to constantly try new things. And BCG has definitely provided this opportunity. Over three years, I have worked across different industries and functional areas—and no two cases have ever been the same!
What I love about BCG is working with some of the smartest yet nicest people possible. Almost everyone is on a similar wavelength of finding the best solution for the client and working together to achieve this. It’s an amazing culture in which everyone is helping you succeed and people genuinely care for your career and personal development.

Q: How has BCG helped you grow and succeed?
A: BCG has given me unparalleled opportunities to grow, both professionally and personally. I have worked across industries with both public- and private-sector clients and in different geographies across Southeast Asia, Europe, and Africa. Working in varied team structures and with different types of clients has pushed me to develop my interpersonal, leadership, and management skills at an early stage of my career.
Q: What international experiences at BCG have been the most interesting for you?
A: In my second year at BCG, I was given the opportunity to be a secondee at the Global Fund in Geneva. It was a transformative experience as I managed my project independently, facilitated interactions among different stakeholders, and coordinated the project’s implementation work in Africa. I learned about the landscape of international development and gained knowledge about how global health works, especially the disease epidemics of HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria. It was a great cultural experience to work in Europe and Africa and to experience a different working environment as an embedded employee in an organization so different from BCG.
Q: What is something that has surprised you about working at BCG?
A: The completely flat organizational structure at BCG amazes me constantly. When I joined BCG, I was surprised by the lack of hierarchy and how approachable senior people are. It is very fulfilling to see how everyone’s opinion is valued, regardless of their tenure and position. It also provides unique development opportunities. For example, a few months into my tenure at BCG, I presented to the CFO of our multibillion-dollar client organization in the first week of my case. Not many other places could have given me such an opportunity!
