In most of my cases, BCG brought more women to boardrooms than companies themselves. I appreciate this.
It was always very important for me to have social impact through my work, therefore I am really happy that working as a BCG consultant I can also work on Social Impact projects.
I have worked with an urban water institute to develop their long term strategy, including their growth strategy, organizational and financial plans. I really enjoyed that we could use BCG know-how to contribute to a global environmental issue. It was also very exciting to work with an urban water institute that not only raises awareness of this very important issue, but also provides and innovative technology solution
My greatest Social Impact experience is Integrom, our local Social Impact project in the Budapest Office. We support young educated Roma to start their careers at large multinational companies. I truly believe that this local initiative makes a difference for young Roma, and I am proud of being part of such a great program.
Viktoria has a MA in Economics from the Corvinus University Budapest. Viktoria worked as an economist prior to joining BCG.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like that we can create our independent, intellectual opinion on any company issue. Working as a consultant gives me intellectual freedom. Working within a large corporate would not give me this freedom.
Q: What international experiences at BCG have been the most interesting for you?
A: I was an Associate Abroad in the US. It was extremely exciting to work in a different culture, and get to know new clients and markets.
Q: Why is BCG a good place for a woman to work?
A: Most importantly BCG empowers women by treating them equally, showing role model to clients. In most of my cases BCG brought more women to board rooms than companies themselves.
BCG is flexible. One can go for maternity leave and then come back, and continue where you left off. BCG can agree on flexi time, so women do not have to choose between carrier and family.
