BCG's Shanghai office is part of the BCG Greater China System, which also includes Beijing, Hong Kong, and Taipei.
These four offices are fully integrated and work as one system, with about 300 professionals combining local expertise, international experience, and a global network.
As the first leading consulting firm licensed to be present in China, BCG has been committed to Greater China for more than 30 years and serves both Chinese and global clients.
The Shanghai office was founded in 1993 and serves as the hub for all of BCG's consulting activities in China. BCG was the first multinational consulting firm authorized to conduct business in Mainland China through a joint venture in 1993.
The office is located in the Lujiazui business area, Pudong District, close to Huangpu River and the famous Oriental Pearl.
The clientele of the Shanghai office is diverse and includes local firms, both private and state-owned, and multinational companies. Project work covers a broad range of industry areas that include financial services, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, health care, industrial goods, technology, telecommunications, and e-commerce.
All four Greater China offices are very active in BCG's international and mobility programs. We have welcomed consultants from Japan, Australia, Italy, the US, Germany, France, and elsewhere, and we have sent members of our team to a number of cities, including Paris, New York, Philadelphia, Frankfurt, London, Tokyo, and Singapore.
You'll be successful at BCG if you constantly break the upper limits of capability and pursue excellence. Impossible is nothing at BCG.
The best part of working at BCG is that there are always role models for you to learn from. This keeps pushing me to think about what kind of person I'd like to become in five or ten years’ time.
There are good times, and there are difficult times, but never bad times at BCG!
