Erich Knausenberger is an ECT Principal in the Washington DC office of Boston Consulting Group, and a core member of BCG TURN, the firm’s turnaround, restructuring, and transformation unit. He specializes in planning and implementing large-scale transformations across a range of industries, and has advised public and private-sector clients in North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Australia. Erich’s experience includes cost rationalization, operational performance improvement, organizational structure optimization, and agile, sustainable transformation management. 

Prior to joining BCG, Erich was an Implementation Leader at McKinsey & Company, where he guided holistic transformation and restructuring efforts for clients in industries including aerospace, agriculture, energy, technology, and heavy manufacturing. Erich also has over 13 years of public-sector transformation experience, including work at Sapient GS and Northrop Grumman TASC.
