Working in Barcelona

Barcelona has consolidated its position as one of the country's largest business hubs in Spain, and we have seized the opportunity of becoming a major consulting firm in the region. Since opening in 2002, BCG in Barcelona has combined the entrepreneurship of a growing office with the excellent resources and professional opportunities that come with being part of the solid SPAN BCG system (Spain, Portugal, Angola, and Nigeria).

Work and Culture

Social impact represents a core pillar of our culture. As such, the Barcelona office is involved in multiple volunteering and social initiatives with NGOs, including Daydream Foundation, which helps children at risk of social exclusion. We also take on many pro bono projects, including one we carried out for the MACBA (leading museum of contemporary art) that involved developing a plan to ensure sustainability.

Our Office

Our premises are located in a dynamic neighborhood at the heart of the city's commercial and financial district. The exclusive area is surrounded by sports facilities, quality restaurants, clubs, and the most fashionable stores.

The Barcelona office is made up of a small, close-knit team of 30 people who are committed to pursuing enriching professional careers at BCG. Our consultants come from different backgrounds and nationalities, but they all share a common passion for the city and the desire to contribute to the region's economic development. Like one big family, our staff supports each other both at work and beyond. We meet to play football regularly, and we organize ski trips every year.

Who We Work With

The Barcelona office opened after ten years of working alongside Catalan clients and multinational clients based in Barcelona. The aim was to develop and strengthen our ties with companies covering the Mediterranean region, and this has indeed been successfully achieved. Over the course of these years, the office has developed strong relationships with the most relevant local companies—from large corporations to medium-size and family businesses—across different industries, including consumer goods, financial services, energy, and pharma.
