Working in Copenhagen

Since its opening in 1998, BCG in Copenhagen has continued to grow, and today we are the leading and fastest-growing premium consultancy firm in Denmark. Working with us means working with some of the brightest minds in business to support the most prominent companies in the world in their quest for success.

Work and Culture

Office Location

Copenhagen is one of the most inspiring cities in the world, known for its incredible cuisine, mixture of old-fashioned and modern Scandinavian architecture, the many bicycles and of course, the enchanting canals.

Situated in Copenhagen’s rapidly developing business hub of Kalvebod Brygge, our offices are on multiple floors of the ultramodern SEB house, overlooking the waters of the Copenhagen harbor as well as the fashionable Islands Brygge.

Who We Work With

Our consultants are passionate and talented people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, areas of expertise and experiences. Our consultants’ interests and backgrounds are fundamental to our success, as they enable us to analyze problems from a broader perspective and challenge established ways of thinking. It allows us to work on a variety of projects and cater to regional, multinational, and international clients. We work in a wide range of industries, including consumer and industrial goods; technology, media, and telecommunications; health care; financial institutions; shipping; and energy.

In addition to helping our clients, one of BCG’s core values is to give back to society, by focusing on how we can take corporate social responsibility. BCG's Copenhagen office has a very dedicated social impact agenda. Each year, we do several social impact projects with our partners, including UN Women, Food Nation, +Impact, INDEX: Design to Improve Life, Mind Your Own Business, The Ocean Cleanup, and State of Green.

BCG in Copenhagen is an active participant in the BCG Ambassador and Associate Abroad programs. Both programs give our consultants a fantastic opportunity to experience BCG in other parts of the world. We currently have consultants in offices in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Santiago, Sydney, and Johannesburg.

Through our programs, we provide the opportunity for our employees to come together and exchange perspectives, because the result is an environment in which all individuals have an opportunity to flourish and develop.

Our Office Culture

The Copenhagen office culture fosters individualism and uniqueness. Our staff comes from very different backgrounds, but together they have a common goal. We know that our people is the key to our success, and we know that lifting as a team is more important than individual performance. As a result, the office culture feels open, an atmosphere in which everyone’s opinion matters—no matter the seniority. This is what gives the office a “one big family” feeling.

Together, we like to relax on Friday afternoons at the Friday bar, play football on Friday mornings, practice our shot at our tennis tournaments, improve our skiing skills on office outings, and dance and sing at the annual Christmas and summer parties.

Welcome Letter

My journey at BCG began as an Associate in 2005. Later, I went on to lead BCG’s Health Care practice in the Nordics, I became BCG’s Ambassador in Washington, and today I am Managing Director & Partner and Office Administrator in Copenhagen. I have truly wandered, explored, and experienced the many paths and areas this company has to offer.

With my dual interest in the life science industry and commercial topics, BCG has allowed me to work on a wide range of projects, including growth strategies, commercial excellence, pricing, innovation, and reorganizations. Consequently, enabling me to support leading global companies across the pharma and MedTech industries.

BCG has brought me both professional and personal growth, and overall fully exceeded my expectations, with unique opportunities of responsibility and mind-changing experiences.

I am very proud of being part of the BCG family, a feeling that permeates our company for a number of reasons.

We are proud of our employees‘ diverse backgrounds, experiences, and talents. They bring new and exciting ways of thinking to the table, which contributes to the company’s growth.

We are proud of the solutions we present our clients with, as well as the social impact programs we conduct to make a positive impact beyond the traditional business domain.

Lastly, we are proud of our work culture. The reality today is that approximately 85% of people across all companies worldwide are highly dissatisfied with their jobs. This statistic is deeply worrying, but makes it even more impressive that we at BCG do not only enjoy going to work - we feel pride in our work. Proud employees bring passion and motivation to the workplace, as well as an open mind, with an eagerness to learn from others.

I believe that BCG can help anyone reach their goals. The opportunities at this company are endless, and we trust each individual to make the most of their talent. It is therefore up to you to shape your journey with us, just as I did with mine.
