Christian Schwaerzler leads Boston Consulting Group’s work in economic development in the public sector globally. Christian works with both private and public sector organizations in the Middle East and Asia on economic development, including helping them with defining, navigating, and achieving their economic ambitions. 

Christian leads engagements covering economic policy and government decision making, private sector development and diversification, local content development, balance of payment and trade, and employment and human capital strategy. He chairs BCG's Middle East Economic Intelligence unit. 

Before joining BCG in 2007, Christian worked for L.E.K. Consulting, Siemens, an e-commerce startup, and other consulting firms in Europe, North America, and Nigeria.
