Pieter Van den Berg

Recruiting Partner

Pieter van den Berg, Partner and Managing Director, New York, received his MBA, with distinction, from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his law degree from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Pieter joined BCG as an associate in 2001 and has worked in BCG’s Amsterdam and New York offices. Pieter is a core member of the Financial Institutions and Corporate Development practice areas.

Max Otto

Full Time Recruiting Director

Max Otto is a Principal in New York and joined BCG as an Associate in 2007. After spending two years in the New York and Munich offices, Max went to get his MBA at Harvard Business School and MPAID from the Harvard Kennedy School. He also holds a BA in economics from Harvard University. Prior to BCG, Max worked for Rodrriguez Silvero, a leading consulting firm in Paraguay. He also worked for Loewe Opta, a German manufacturer, and Ashoka, a global NGO aimed at supporting entrepreneurs in developing countries. Max's personal interests include opera, boxing, and traveling.

Julie Mulloy

Summer Associate Recruiting Director

Julie Mulloy is a Principal in the New York Office and joined BCG as an associate in 2011. Prior to joining BCG, Julie worked as an auditor for Deloitte Touché Tohmatsu. She also has experience working as a financial analyst for BBDO. Julie received her BBA in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame. In her leisure time, she enjoys art, reading & travel.

Anne Whitaker

Recruiting Coordinator

Anne is a Recruiting Coordinator for the Associate team in BCG's New York Metro office. She joined BCG shortly after graduating from the University of Southern California with a BA in Creative Writing and Art History. Anne enjoys spending time with her friends and family, fashion and of course USC football!

Kelly Howard

Recruiting Assistant

Kelly is a Recruiting Assistant in the BCG's New York Office, leading associate recruiting efforts at Columbia University. Kelly received her BA in Marketing and Management from the University of South Carolina, and enjoys dancing, hiking, traveling and Carolina football.

Mallory Fisher

Recruiting Assistant

Mallory is a Recruiting Assistant in BCG's New York Office where she leads associate recruiting efforts at Yale University. Prior to joining BCG, Mallory worked as an MBA recruiting assistant at Bain & Company. Mallory holds a BA in Communication from Boston College and enjoys spinning, soccer, and exploring New York City.

Derek Yan

Columbia School Specialist

Derek Yan is an Associate in the New York office who joined BCG in 2016 after interning as a Summer Associate in 2015. Derek graduated from Columbia Engineering with a degree in Operations Research and interned at Goldman Sachs and a biotech start-up prior to joining BCG. Derek's interests include traveling, basketball, and hiking.

Jimmy Royston

NAMR LGBT Recruiting Lead

Jimmy Royston is a Principal in the New York office. He oversees LGBT recruiting for BCG in North America, coordinating across schools and offices. He joined BCG in 2009 as an Associate, and has spent time working in the Washington DC and Amsterdam offices before moving to New York. He holds a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

If you are interested in applying to BCG for a Summer Associate position, please complete the Columbia online application by October 2, 2017 by 11:59 PM at the latest. You will also need to submit the following materials:

  • Resume with SAT scores (math/verbal split)
  • Cover letter
  • Copy of your undergraduate transcript with cumulative GPA
  • Top 3 office location preferences

In addition to our summer program, we are currently accepting fulltime applications (available to start in 2018) for our international offices outside of North America.
