Leah, the 2014 recipient of BCG's undergraduate scholarship, finished a bachelor of commerce and will complete a bachelor of law at the University of Sydney. Leah has a long list of fascinating and wide-ranging interests, including art, hip-hop, supporting women in finance, and Formula 1.

After graduating from Sydney Girls High School, Leah studied commerce and law at the University of Sydney to understand why individuals and companies operate the way they do. During her studies, she completed internships with UBS Investment Bank, Auscap Asset Management, and Pottinger.

The BCG Scholarship will allow Leah to travel and pursue volunteering and extracurricular activities while completing her studies. She is proud to be associated with a company that influences the paths of multinational companies and governments. She recently visited BCG's Athens office, where she saw the impact BCG has made through its consulting work and through pro bono projects with the local community and philanthropic organizations. She was also impressed by BCG’s commitment to diversity, through the wide-ranging backgrounds of their consultants and their commitment to women in leadership.

Leah is actively involved in a number of university societies, including the Financial Management Accounting Association Sydney, the Oaktree Society, and the newly formed Network of Women in Business at the University of Sydney.

She has also volunteered as marketing director for the Oaktree Society and Youth Ambassador at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Watching and playing sport is another passion, and is a lifelong St George Dragons supporter and an avid Formula 1 fan. She loves hip-hop and studied the history of rap music on exchange at UCLA in 2012.

In the future, Leah hopes to gain industry experience in a field where she is able to analyze and influence the strategy of companies, government organizations, and not-for-profits. She also hopes to develop her analytical and problem-solving skills by working internationally and is excited about the opportunities that BCG offers.
