The BCG Strategy Cup is the largest business competition in Belgium. During this 12th edition, BCG gives you and your team the unique opportunity to discover strategy consulting firsthand and to work with a real BCG client: Proximus.
The BCG Strategy Cup will take place during the week of March 6th – March 10th 2017. The assignment will be given during an online kick-off meeting organized on Monday March 6, 2017. Each team should submit its answers and recommendations online. The deadline for the first set of output is Tuesday March 7, 2017. The deadline for the second set of output is Wednesday March 8, 2017. Shortly after, the semi-finalists will be selected to further develop their recommendations and join the BCG office for a full day coached by BCG consultants and Proximus management, on Thursday March 9th. The finalists will then present their recommendations during a public event Friday evening. Specific details for solving the assignment and exact timings will be communicated during the kick-off meeting.
Registrations are open to all students from all Belgian Universities and will be managed through the Strategy Cup website.
The deadline for registration is February 27, 2017 at 23h59 or earlier if full capacity is reached.
Each Team Captain (= team member 1) will receive a confirmation of registration by email. Only the Team Captain receives a registration confirmation email.

Teams that want to participate must have minimum 2 and maximum 4 team members (= students). You do not need to be enrolled in the same university, major or year. Each team member needs to submit the following personal data: name, address, mobile number, email, date of birth, university, major and year.
Yes, team members do not need to attend the same faculty/university in order to be part of one team, nor do they need to be in the same year.
The case materials will be available right after the online kick-off on Monday March 6th, 2017.
Each team will be asked to submit a first part of its initial recommendations by Tuesday evening. The second part will be expected Wednesday early afternoon, at the time that will be communicated during the kick-off meeting. All documents need to be submitted online. Documents submitted after that time will not be accepted.

All teams that are invited to come to the BCG Brussels office for the semi-finals presentations will be contacted on Wednesday March 8th, 2017 in the evening.
All team members who have registered to The Strategy Cup can subscribe for the Closing Event.
You can also register here for our exclusive Strategy Cup closing event which will take place on Friday March 10th, 2017 at the Square (Brussels city center – Mont des Arts). On top, each team captain will receive an email on Monday March 6th, 2017 with the link and information to subscribe for the closing event on Friday March 10th, 2017.
A professional jury, consisting of BCG partners and managers and Proximus management, will determine the winning team of The BCG Strategy Cup 2017. The key criteria of the assessment will be the quality of the recommendation and of the presentation given. Each team's performance will be evaluated, incl. quantitative and numeric skills, strategic insights, creativity, business judgment, enthusiasm, presentation skills and more.
No, in fact the jury selects 2 winning teams. Besides The Strategy Cup 2017 winning team, a Rookie Prize will be assigned to the best Bachelor team consisting of only 3rd Bachelor or 3rd year students (or younger). The Rookie Prize winner will be selected based on the same criteria as mentioned above.
