The Young Talent League is a new inter-university business competition organized by The Boston Consulting Group. The competition is open to all undergraduate students, regardless of their field of study.
The Young Talent League will take place during the week of February 19–23, 2018. On Monday, each team will take the online game in duo from home. On Tuesday, The Boston Consulting Group will form the semi-finalist teams based on the online game results. Shortly after, the selected students will be informed about their teams of 4 students. From Tuesday to Thursday, all semi-finalists will work on developing their creative ideas and will be offered coaching sessions. On Wednesday, the semi-finalist teams will be invited to the BCG office in Brussels to meet BCG consultants and ENGIE management. On Thursday evening, semi-finalist teams will present their recommendations on their university campuses* during a public event. Eventually, the finalists will present their recommendations during the Closing Event on Friday at SQUARE in Brussels. Specific details for solving the assignment and exact timings will be communicated on Monday February 19, 2018.
* UGent, KUL, ULB and UCL. Participants from other universities will be invited to the BCG office for their semi-finals presentations.
Registrations are open to all undergraduate students from all universities. Teams that want to participate in The Young Talent League must be composed of 2 students who need to be enrolled in the same university. You can register your team of two here.
The deadline for registrations is February 15, 2018.
Each Team Captain will receive a confirmation of registration by email. Only the Team Captain receives a registration confirmation email.
Should there be a change in your team, please email us directly at email@example.com.
Please note that no changes in your team will be allowed after the registrations’ deadline on February 15, 2018.
Teams that want to participate must be composed of 2 students who need to be enrolled in the same university.
Team members need to attend the same university in order to be able to register. However, they don’t need to be in the same year and/or studies.
The access for the online game will be sent to your Team Captain via email on Monday February 19, 2018.
All teams that are selected for the semi-finals will be contacted on Tuesday February 20, 2018 in the morning.
All team members who have registered to The Young Talent League can subscribe for the Closing Event.
Each Team Captain will receive an email on Monday February 19, 2018 with the link and information to subscribe for the Closing Event on Friday February 23, 2018.
A professional jury, consisting of BCG partners and managers and ENGIE management will determine the winning team of The Young Talent League. The key criteria of the assessment will be the quality of the recommendation and of the presentation given. Each team's performance will be evaluated, incl. quantitative and numeric skills, strategic insights, creativity, business judgment, enthusiasm, presentation skills and more.
