The BCG Strategy Cup – Young Talent League edition took place during the week of February 19, 2018. For this 2018 edition, students had the chance to take part in this unique inter-university business competition and tackle a key strategic topic for an international company: ENGIE.
Over 500 Belgian bachelor students, spread over more than 250 teams, participated in the 2018 BCG Strategy Cup, which took place from February 19 until February 23. These teams were asked to crack a real business challenge through an interactive online game and come up with a solution to one of ENGIE’s key challenges, unleashing their creative skills.
After evaluating all submitted recommendations, 20 semi-finalist teams were selected. They were coached by BCG consultants to develop their creative recommendations and had the chance to interview the ENGIE management.
In the end, five teams were selected to participate in the finals during the closing event at the Square Brussels. All Strategy Cup participants were invited to join the closing event, where they watched the finalists present their recommendations to the jury. Afterwards, we celebrated with a walking dinner, cocktails and a live DJ.
This year, WonderTrash (ULB) was announced as the winner of the BCG Strategy Cup – Young Talent League edition. They win a travel voucher to fly anywhere around the globe! Congratulations again to all finalists, semi-finalists and all teams participating.
