At BCG, Storytellers synthesize complex information and ideas. They believe in bringing the whole team together to get a broader perspective. Guido champions uncommon ideas.
At BCG, I experienced how far one can go with ambition, strong willpower, and an outstanding team. The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss our mark but that it is too low and we reach it.
I joined BCG directly after completing my master studies in accounting and finance and my CEMS degree in international management. After participating in a recruiting event with BCG, it became clear to me that the firm would be a great fit and an amazing personal and professional opportunity.
Since I started, I have had the chance to deepen my expertise in different industries and have worked on a broad range of topics, including strategy, corporate development, and technology. Beyond my daily work, it's the people that set BCG apart from other organizations. I'm fascinated by how complementary our teams usually are and how well our teams fit together on a personal level. I have had a great personal opportunity to build a network of colleagues and friends at BCG.
Guido holds a master’s degree in accounting and finance from University of St. Gallen and a CEMS master’s in international management from ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
Q: What characteristics do you believe define a BCGer?
A: From my perspective, there is no typical BCGer. Yet I think there are some characteristics that many of them share. In my experience, BCGers are great team players and integrate well into teams, challenge established thinking, and are not afraid to try new and unconventional approaches. Furthermore, I think that most BCGers are eager to learn and constantly strive for improvement. Last but not least, BCGers are fun to work with.
Q: What are some of your volunteer or charitable work experiences?
A: During my studies, I've been organizing an intercultural exchange between students from Switzerland and students from Japan. It's been an incredible opportunity to get involved in a different culture and to get to know the local places in a huge and vibrant city such as Tokyo. It's also been amazing to see the dynamics of how two culturally different groups evolved into one group after the first ten days we spent together.
Q: What trends are you following and why?
A: I follow everything that happens in the technology space. I'm fascinated by how technology has shaped the world in the past few years, and I'm sure there is much more to come. I'm captivated by how technology has brought the world closer together and how it changes (simplifies but sometimes complicates) our everyday life.
