At BCG, Challengers go against expected thinking and inspire their teams to be truly innovative. Judit goes deep to understand challenges.
The best part of working at BCG is that one can combine the self-assurance of someone experienced with the curiosity of a beginner, since you keep facing challenges in new industries and/or new types of problems.
I joined BCG after 15 years in banking. It is quite a change and a big surprise that you can still learn a lot on similar topics just by taking an external point of view or having access to experience from other cases and other industries.
What I enjoy most is that I can help clients to identify the real issues and solve their problems by providing feasible solutions, not just dead PowerPoints. We can talk to all levels in an organization and create links between operatives and top management, fostering change and understanding.
In my opinion BCG stands out from other companies by its unique corporate culture; I have never experienced such a friendly environment with such a short response time from colleagues when you ask for support. This helps to meet the high standards to find tailored solutions in a quick and creative way.
Judit holds economics and legal degrees, and has more than 15 years of experience in the banking industry.
Q: How has BCG helped you grow and succeed?
A: When joining BCG, next to the standard ones I received tailored trainings to help me catch up on special consulting skills, such as story lining. The partners I worked with also took special attention in giving detailed feedback and guidance so I could focus on the crucial pain points. I appreciated this personalization of the curriculum as it made the transition smoother and quicker.
Q: Why did you choose to work at BCG?
A: With a background in project finance, I was familiar with frequent changes of clients and industries. I wanted to keep this for my next working place.
In my last position, I was responsible for efficiency enhancement, which allowed me to get into touch with several units within the organization, challenge current setups, and drive change. I wished to keep this as well.
BCG can offer both by working on project base in several industries with diverse clients, always looking for improvement of current setup.
Q: What are you most curious about?
A: You can read a lot about millions of jobs being replaced by algorithms and robots. I wonder how long until strategic advisory will be affected.
I believe innovative thinking needs a human touch, and what we do is finding new solutions for old and new problems and thinking outside of the box…so we shall see.
