Nicolas Baise is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Energy and Industrial Goods practices. He also leads BCG’s Social Impact and Global Advantage practices in Brussels.

Since joining BCG in 2006, Nicolas has worked extensively with clients in power and utilities and transportation and logistics. His engagements have covered the entire power and gas value chain, including energy networks, commodity trading, and renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and hydro power.

Nicolas has particularly deep experience in managing large capital expenditures for renewable energy and power transmission companies, and he has been a driving force behind BCG’s research on the future of utilities.

His client work has covered business model innovation and growth strategies for clients trying to stay ahead of changes in the energy landscape, as well as numerous strategic and operational projects in the railway and postal sectors.
